By Road

The New Forest lies between Southampton and Bournemouth. Forest Lodge is best approached from Junction 1 on the M27. Follow the signs to LYNDHURST and the one-way system down the High Street where the road splits: take the right fork sign posted LYMINGTON and move over into the left-hand lane. Follow this out of LYNDHURST and through the Forest for approx 3 miles until you see the BROCKENHURST sign followed by the Balmer Lawn Hotel on the left-hand side. Turn left immediately after the hotel onto Balmer Lawn Road. Forest Lodge is several houses down on the right-hand side and is easily distinguished by the white picket fence. Note that at certain times Lyndhurst can be very busy and alternative routes, although longer, may be quicker. Call us for travel suggestions.

By Train

Brockenhurst is easily accessible by train from a number of destinations throughout the UK. Once at Brockenhurst station, cross to the ticket office exit where taxis are usually available. Forest Lodge is approximately ¾ mile from the station and is located on Balmer Lawn Rd (several houses down on the right-hand side after the hotel and is easily distinguished by the white picket fence). The taxi fare is approximately £3. Alternatively, if you call us in advance we can arrange to pick you up from the station. If you are cycling or on foot, exit the station as above, turn left at the T junction (do not cross the level crossing) and proceed down the road passing the cycle hire shop on your left. Follow this road until you cross the Lymington River (approx ½ mile) and turn right immediately.
